There will be no yin yoga on Thursday, July 24 at 6pm.
Yin will return on July 31.
Join us on Tuesdays for lunchtime meditation classes with Steven. Arrive at noon to get settled in and ask questions. Meditation starts promptly at 12:15pm.
Amy Faust joins us for Ashtanga yoga on Friday mornings this summer at 9:30 am. The Ashtanga Primary Series is a practice that offers a preset series of poses (asana). Because of its reputation for vigor, Ashtanga is often misunderstood to be an unapproachable practice, but it is an excellent practice for any level student. In this class, Amy will lead the Primary Series while giving individual attention to each student's unique practice.
Seva's next cycle of Teacher Training starts October 25, 2014! Visit our Teacher Training information page now for more details!
This Teacher Training Program is open to students who are interested in deepening their understanding of Yoga, who may be interested in teaching in the future, current yoga teachers of any style, and yoga instructors who want to deepen and fine tune their understanding of teaching Power Vinyasa Yoga.
Here is what a recent student said about our Teacher Training program:
"I took my first yoga class with Colleen in 2008 at a local gym. I was immediately taken with her nurturing style and clearly visible passion for teaching yoga. After several classes I was having thoughts about teaching yoga myself, although at that time it seemed impossible.
Four years later, the opportunity arose for me to commit to Teaching Training at Seva Power Yoga. It has been one of the most opening and joyful experiences of my life to be able to deepen my practice and understanding of the path of yoga with such a wonderful, warm and knowledgeable teacher as Colleen. Our class size was small and we bonded and formed friendships through the many hours spent at the studio. I was a little uneasy when I realized that we were asked to teach from the very first day, but that was Colleen’s encouraging style at work and it led us all to be more self-confident with each passing session.
What I am taking away is more than I could have imagined. I believe that I could not have found a better role model for teacher training than Colleen. This training has affected every area of my life in a positive way. I feel well prepared to step out of the nest, so to speak, and share the learning and gifts I have received with other yoga students." ~~Lee B.
